and he “has to” stay at my place that night (since he’s drunk and I live by the metro and he doesn’t), I tell him to get there before me and get my packages for me. or take out my trash or some other task. and then I go to the bar near my place to have a catch-up drink or two and tell him to meet me there.

it works well enough. I don’t feel bad about it.

but tomorrow I am going to pretend I do. Clean slate. All of the baggage I have from the past 5 years on my record I am going to ignore. Going to re-train myself from the bottom up. And walk into the building with my head up high. No more coming in through the concourse level from another office just to cut down the probability of bumping into someone in the elevators of the lobby level of my building. No more being ashamed at my schedule if it’s my schedule and it works for me.
